Project Centre of Vehicles for Sustainable Mobility
The aim of the Centre of Vehicles for Sustainable Mobility project was to create a new, modern facility, whose activity and results follow the success of Research Centres, whose activities were ended on December 31, 2011. It particularly concerns the Research Centre of Josef Božek I and II.
The activity of the Research Centre focuses mainly on the concentration of resources and technologies that lead to the research of new solutions and subsequently to optimization of piston engine designs for vehicles and energy sector. Another sector where the activity within the Research Centre is focused is the drive units, including electric and hybrid, and their integrated management with respect to efficiency, environmental friendliness, utility value in terms of mobility, and finally the resulting competitiveness of companies related to the domestic industry.
Direct approaches of the Research Centre are already applicable in the industry, and their aim is an innovation and optimization of vehicle drives, which are based on combustion engines or electric drives with energy accumulation.
The specific implementation of the proposed drivelines for small passenger vehicles of small and middle classes enables reduction in track fuel consumption by at least 5%.
